Lady Gaga is beautiful, just for her outspokenness against homophobia.
With Beyonce, she sang ‘Telephone’ a song/video with not-so-subtle lesbian undercurrents. Particularly in the end when they disappear into the horizon in a car – in the first video below. The video also features a lesbian kiss to kick off the song!
Oh, but you definitely have to the watch the hilarious gay parody of Telephone too – the second video below.
And recently, the video for her much-talked about ‘Alejandro’ was released. In fact, Lady Gaga dedicated the song/video to her gay friends, saying:
”It’s about the purity of my friendships with my gay friends, and how I’ve been unable to find that with a straight man in my life. It’s a celebration and an admiration of gay love—it confesses my envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together. In the video I’m pining for the love of my gay friends—but they just don’t want me to be with them.”
And if Mashable had something to say of her video, it is a must-watch – third video below.
…it’s darker in tone than the bubbly, tongue-in-cheek “Telephone.” The video draws elements and visual stylings from the expressionist film movement of pre-Nazi 1920s Germany. Gaga’s usual influences of glam rock and Michael Jackson are obvious. Mix those and German expressionism with some steam punk, military uniforms, light bondage and a bra with assault rifle barrels attached to it [in homage to Madonna] and you have a quintessential work of Gaga art.
