The previous entry was very long back – when Hindu blog which was a subsidiary of Indiblog. It later moved to its own site Hindupedia. This move entailed a shift from using WordPress as the publishing platform to Drupal, which is a lot more comprehensive coming with many features but an equally steep learning curve.
I was approached by a group of Hindus asking if I would donate the domain name Hindupedia.com to their cause. Mine was a blog, an aspiring community blog. They wanted to create a more encyclopedia-like site on Hinduism. Their purpose more befitted the name Hindupedia and I readily agreed to donate the domain name. Do visit them at hindupedia.com. The name was just gaining popularity and other things in life beckoned my immediate attention, which led to my neglecting the site.
That is, until now. Quite some time back, I bought the domain name hihindu.com and have been sitting on it until now. What has been keeping me busy – well, earning a doctorate degree. Having betrayed my writing ambitions for so long, I’ve been itching to write again. And the once hindublog, which was transiently hindupedia, is now hiHindu.
Story’s over. Or, it just begins. Either way, focused writing on Hinduism will resume soon.
