No appreciation of Relief support to Pakistan?

Musharraf has graciously accepted the first 25 tons of relief material from Manmohan Singh. Whew! That was such a huge step for Indians and Pakistanis.

India reached out a friendly hand to an enemy, who grabbed it immediately. Am I seeing the beginning of a friendship?

But what is really surprising is that not one political party has appreciated this enormous gesture by Singh. The Left are still hanging on to Iran and the BJP are still hanging on to Bihar.

Well yes, Commies and Saffronists, by all means hang on to your pet peeves, but do give an applause for Singh’s efforts. He has courageously continued on Vajpayee’s line of CBMs!

(Is it only to me that CBMs sound like WMDs?)

Anyway, let’s applaud Manmohanji and also Musharraf and hope that this bud of friendship soon blooms.

Can I say that the one enormously good thing this earthquake has done is to destroy many terrorist camps, or is that still politically wrong?
