why and how to study in India

An Indonesian student presently in India gives his perspective of why to study in India, and also how for other Indonesians in particular and any international student in general.

for why, he says:

  1. though Indian universities are not the best, they are better than many other
  2. low fees and living costs (very true)
  3. easy entrance and easy scholarship (never knew that! – maybe in the lower rung of universities, for its so difficult for Indians ourselves to get into good institutes!)
  4. and growing international recognition

what he means, quite obviously, is that they are not the best in the world – otherwise why do you think students from IIT go to US or UK for their further studies?

I used to dress up and impersonate our next-door neighbor, Miss Cox. She wore rubber boots, a wool hat, and her nose always dripped.
