West Bengal Muslim couple gone bonkers!

Thanks to the terrorists, saying anti-Muslim statements has become politically correct in many circles.

Thanks to Muslim women such as those that get raped by their father-in-law and are then forced to marry them; and those that are betrayed by their husbands on the pronouncement of a word thrice, it is now perfectly safe to call at least a section of Indian Muslims completely crazy!

If you haven’t heard this joke yet, here goes: In West Bengal, a Muslim man apparently said “talaq, talaq, talaq” in his sleep. His unfortunate wife who was awake heard him and was petrified. For according to the Indian Muslims’ interpretation of Islam, saying ‘talaq’ thrice in a row is equivalent to a divorce. I’m not kidding you; this is real life Islam!

So naturally the wife was confused. Is she divorced now? Or is she not?

And what did the couple do when the husband woke up? They went to the Islamic clerics in West Bengal seeking advice. What a sane thing to do - well, they were religious, you know.

So along they went and asked: “Mullah sir, has my husband divorced me?”

And the local clerics agreed that that indeed was a valid divorce. Asleep or unconscious, in coma or in inebriety, talaq thrice is divorce indeed.

So they duly advised the couple to separate.

Fortunately, not all sanity is lost in the Indian Muslims’ head. Islamic scholars and clerics in Lucknow have said that man does many things in sleep that he is not conscious of - so the scholars have some awareness of kindergarten science, oh, or is it common sense?

Anyway, they have opined that saying talaq in sleep is not a valid divorce.

But I don’t know the case of the sorry couple now! Are they together or separated?

They have surely exposed a basic lack in many Islamic scholars - the lack of common sense!
