Sonia saves Congress’s face - isn’t that a stale story now?
The BJP and the entire Opposition and even many allies were up against the Congress for the ordinance closing the Parliament session prematurely in the middle of a very serious argument in the House. There was confusion in India.
The next day, Sonia rose up to protect her party, her followers, and the nation from an embarrassment that would have been fun to watch. She resigned.
It is a mystery to me why she resigned from both posts. She should definitely have resigned as MP for her holding an office of profit was untenable with this. But why did she resign as the Chairwoman of the Advisory Council? Maybe she got too enthusiastic.
Or maybe it was a theatrical act performed to swoon her Indian audience. Whatever it was, it worked extremely well.
Her constituency people at Rae Barelli cannot wait to vote her back into the Parliament!
Even I have to admit that I am impressed with her sacrifices! I know for sure that it will be very easy for her to come back and that her stunt has even gained her a lot of admirable mileage. But she did resign to protect her party and the Govt. from utter embarrassment.
She shut the mouths of shouting old BJP fellas, of the disturbed Communists and of every other person that voiced his opinion against the Congress for bringing out an inopportune ordinance.
She has won the hearts of millions of Indians and will win her way back into the Lok Sabha with absolute ease.
Which Indian would now believe that Sonia Gandhi is a white woman when her self-sacrifing nature has made her a starring example of Indian womanhood.
A stroke, she sacrificed the role of Prime Ministership and captured the hearts of all Congress voters.
Another stroke, she sacrificed the role of Member of Parliament and captured the hearts of all the others.
Kudos to you, Sonia! You win!

She is an expert in manipulating media and people. But she never appear in one public debate and I doubt she can talk about any subject of national interest if left alone for half an hour.
I am more interested in knowing who is her real political adviser. Most likely not even Indian. He has got some moves.

It was crude what george Fernandice said about her , but truth. What she has really done besides giving birth to two children for nation.
